Ausstellung „70 Jahre Kunst am Bau in Deutschland“

Die vom Bundesamt für Bauwesen und Raumordnung entwickelte Ausstellung bietet erstmalig eine Zusammenschau von baugebundener Kunst aus beiden deutschen Staaten, die zwischen 1950 und 1990 sowie seit der Wiedervereinigung in Bundesauftrag entstanden ist. In zehn Kapiteln werden rund 60 Kunstwerke für Bundesinstitutionen im In- und Ausland vorgestellt und in ihrem historischen, politischen und architektonischen Kontext gewürdigt. Ein eigenes Kapitel ist dabei der Kunst am Bau in Wuppertal gewidmet. Von Roland Fuhrmann ist das Video zur Entstehung der Arbeit ZUSAMMENHALT im Bundesministerium des Innern zu sehen. Zur Ausstellung ist ein Katalog erschienen, der über den Buchhandel erhältlich ist.
Die Eröffnung findet am Mittwoch, den 3. Mai um 18:00 Uhr an der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal im Foyer der Fakultät Architektur und Bauingenieurwesen, Pauluskirchstraße 7, Gebäude HC, Campus Haspel statt.

exhibition „70 Years of Public Art in Germany“

The exhibition, developed by the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning, offers for the first time a synopsis of building-related art from both German states that was commissioned by the federal government between 1950 and 1990 and since reunification. In ten chapters, around 60 works of art for federal institutions in Germany and abroad are presented and appreciated in their historical, political and architectural context. A separate chapter is devoted to art in buildings in Wuppertal. Roland Fuhrmann’s video on the creation of the work ZUSAMMENHALT in the Federal Ministry of the Interior can be seen. A catalogue has been published to accompany the exhibition and is available in bookshops.
The opening will take place on Wednesday, 3 May at 6 p.m. at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal in the foyer of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Pauluskirchstraße 7, Building HC, Haspel Campus.
