Mit dem Ruf nach mehr Licht umschreibt Georg Christoph Lichtenberg (1742-1799) das Programm der Aufklärung: Aus dem Dunkel der Bevormundung, der Abhängigkeit, der Unmündigkeit sollte die Menschheit in das Licht der Freiheit, der Mündigkeit geführt werden.
Die riesige Schulfassade in Berlin-Lichtenberg mit 23 x 73 m verschattet den Schulhof auf der Nordseite ganzjährig. In dieses Dunkel wird Licht gebracht. Ein mit Spiegeln besetzter Pylon reflektiert das Sonnenlicht in den Schulhofschatten. Geführt von Heliostaten folgen die Spiegel der wandernden Sonne und projizieren Licht und Wärme an vorprogrammierte Stellen des Schulhofs. Der Spiegel-Pylon steht für Chancengleichheit, indem er die Trennlinie zwischen Licht und Schatten durchbricht und auch den Benachteiligten Sonne bringt.
With his call for more light, Georg Christoph Lichtenberg (1742–1799) encapsulates the programme of the Enlightenment: humanity was to be led out of the darkness of paternalism, dependence and immaturity into the light of freedom and maturity.
The huge school façade at Berlin-Lichtenberg, measuring 23 x 73 metres, shades the schoolyard on the north side all year round. Light is brought into this darkness. A pylon covered with mirrors reflects sunlight into the shadows of the schoolyard. Guided by heliostats, the mirrors follow the moving sun and project light and warmth onto pre-programmed areas of the schoolyard. The mirror pylon stands for equal opportunities by breaking through the dividing line between light and shadow and bringing sunshine to the disadvantaged.
C’est par cet appel à plus de lumière que Georg Christoph Lichtenberg (1742-1799) décrit le programme du Siècle des lumières : de l’obscurité de la tutelle, de la dépendance et de l’immaturité, l’humanité devait être conduite vers la lumière de la liberté et de la maturité.
L’immense façade de l’école à Berlin-Lichtenberg, qui mesure 23 x 73 m, ombrage la cour de récréation côté nord tout au long de l’année. De la lumière est apportée dans cette obscurité. Un pylône recouvert de miroirs réfléchit la lumière du soleil dans la cour d’école ombragée. Guidés par des héliostats, les miroirs suivent la course du soleil et projettent la lumière et la chaleur à des endroits préprogrammés. Le pylône à miroirs symbolise l’égalité des chances en brisant la ligne de démarcation entre l’ombre et la lumière et en apportant également le soleil aux personnes défavorisées.
