1. Preis im Wettbewerb Kunst am Bau
Operationszentrum der Universitätsklinik Erlangen

Der Entwurf NEOMAI von Roland Fuhrmann erhielt den 1. Preis im Wettbewerb Kunst am Bau für den Neubau des Operativen Zentrums / Funktionsbau (OPZ–FB) auf dem Campus des Universitätsklinikums Erlangen der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.

„Die Jury hob unter anderem die vielfältige Wirkung der Arbeit hervor, welche sowohl eine positive Leichtigkeit biete als auch eine anziehende Wirkung auf den Betrachter ausübe und dessen Neugier wecke. Der Künstlervorschlag wird als äußerst starker Beitrag gewürdigt, der die Gebäudeteile optisch gelungen verbindet und mit der orthogonalen Klarheit der Architektur harmoniert.“

Die Wettbewerbsentwürfe werden vom 2. bis 5. November 2021 im Foyer des Hörsaalgebäudes der Medizin ausgestellt: Ulmenweg 18, 91054 Erlangen; Öffnungszeiten täglich von 9 bis 16 Uhr.

1^st prize in the competition Art in Buildings
Surgery Centre of the University Hospital Erlangen

The design of the art installation NEOMAI by Roland Fuhrmann was awarded 1^st prize in the public art competition for the new building of the Surgery Centre (OPZ-FB) at the University Hospital Erlangen of the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg.

„Among other things, the jury emphasised the multifaceted effect of the work, which offers a positive lightness as well as an attractive effect on the viewer and arouses his curiosity. The artist’s proposal was praised as an extremely strong contribution that successfully connects the parts of the building visually and harmonises with the orthogonal clarity of the architecture.“
