1. Preis im Wettbewerb Denkzeichen für die Opfer von Willkürjustiz

EINSCHLÜSSE heißt der einstimmige Siegerentwurf von Roland Fuhrmann im Wettbewerb für einen Erinnerungs- und Gedenkort für die Opfer der Gerichtsbarkeit der Sowjetischen Militäradministration (SMAD) und der später von der DDR Staatssicherheit übernommenen Einrichtungen 1945-89 am Roedeliusplatz in Berlin.

Begründung des Preisgerichts:
„Der vorgeschlagene Entwurf wird aufgrund seiner Nah- und Fernwirkung, seiner beeindruckenden Vielschichtigkeit, Aussagekraft und Allgemeinverständlichkeit sowohl formal als auch inhaltlich als überzeugend wahrgenommen. Dabei ist der Ansatz der künstlerischen Auseinandersetzung durchweg partizipativ. Die Arbeit hat das Potenzial, eine große öffentliche Aufmerksamkeit zu entfachen und rückt dabei die Opferperspektive emotional berührend und multiperspektivisch ins Zentrum. Gleichzeitig gelingt es, die räumliche Orientierung auf die Tatorte zu lenken.“

Am 4. März findet dazu ein Pressefrühstück des Bezirksbürgermeisters statt, bei dem der Künstler seinen Entwurf vorstellen wird.

1^st prize in the competition, Monument to the victims of Arbitrary Justice

EINSCHLÜSSE (inclusions) is the name of the unanimous winning design by Roland Fuhrmann in the competition for a memorial and place of remembrance for the victims of the jurisdiction of the Soviet Military Administration (SMAD) and the institutions later taken over by the GDR State Security 1945-89 at Roedeliusplatz in Berlin-Lichtenberg.

Statement of the jury:
„The proposed art work is perceived as convincing due to its close and distant effect, its impressive complexity, expressiveness and general comprehensibility, both formally and in terms of content. The approach of the artistic debate is thoroughly participatory. The work has the potential to arouse a great deal of public attention and, in doing so, places the victim’s perspective at the centre in an emotionally moving and multi-perspective way. At the same time, it succeeds in directing spatial orientation towards the crime scenes.“

On 4 March, a press breakfast will be held by the district mayor, at which the artist will present his proposed art work.
